Our Story

In the 1950s, a new barn was built by two brothers in the small village, Rödsö. There moved twenty animals to the barn. Over the years, the next generation took over the control.

In the 90s, the farm host took an enthusiastic boy from the neighborhood to help in the barn. Work in the barn went well, and he felt comfortable to stay for several years.

At the turn of the 21st century, however, a small barn stepped aside from the bigger farms and turned into an empty storage space.

Twenty years later, the same neighbor boy made a deal of buying the barn with his former barn host. The boy had no cows, but he owned a few reindeers. He had a plan to paint the walls and keep the building in order to keep the animal's hay dry. Pretty fast however, the plans got bigger and he began to renovate the barn with an idea to build a venue for the people in the village.

During the renovation, he wanted to give up for several times, but continued with a support of his family and friends. Together they completed the project and today the barn is ready to welcome guests. Instead of cows, there are reindeers and goats walking in the pasture, and the balks have turned into tables for guests.
